In April 2014 wood product exports in Brazil (except pulp and paper) increased 1.4% in terms of value compared to April 2013.
Pine plywood exports expanded 4.4% in value in April 2014 compared to April 2013, from US$36.4 million to US$ 38 million. The volume of exports increased 6.6%, from 95,900 m3 to 102,200 m3, during the same period.
On the other hand, tropical plywood exports fell 17% from 4,100 m3 in April 2013 to 3 ,400 m3 in April 2014. In terms of value, tropical plywood exports fell 16%, from US$2.5 million in April 2013 to US$2.1 million in April 2014.
Wooden furniture exports fell marginally from US$ 38.8 million in April 2013 to US$38.2 million in April 2014
