In October, 2019 the USA imported about 246 thousand m3 of hardwood plywood (16% more in comparison with the previous year). 39% of plywood was imported from Russia, 18% from Vietnam.

Within January-November, 2019 plywood production volume in Ukraine decreased by 6.2% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Chipboard production decreased by 9.3%, veneer – by 6.3%, parquet – by 18.1%

Within July-September, 2019 wooden products export volume in Ghana decreased by 9% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Significant part in export volume belonged to sawn timber (75%), plywood (8%), veneer (3%)

Within January-October, 2019 concern “Bellesbumprom” (Belarus) exported up to 7.4% more chipboards, + 9% hardboards, +5.8% wooden furniture, +8.7% paper and carton. Belarusian plywood export volume, on the contrary, showed 0.7% decrease. Wooden products were supplied to 69 countries

In October 2019 pine sawn timber export in Brazil decreased by 28% in comparison with the same period of the previous year, pine plywood volumes showed 12% decrease, tropical plywood – 42%

 

International construction fair BATIMAT took place in Paris on 4-8 November 2019. Specialization: building field and technologies. More than 2500 companies from 60 countries participated in the fair. The variety of hardboards, plywood, chipboards and other panel products were presented

In January-June, 2019 plywood import in the USA decreased by 24% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. From Russia the USA imported by 18% less birch and pine plywood. Market share of Russian plywood export volume was 80%

Within January-September, 2019 European Union countries imported up to 4% more tropical plywood in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Chinese plywood export volume increased by 32%, from Gabon – by 12%, from Brazil – by 8%, from Morocco – by 41%

Within January-October, 2019 plywood production in Ukraine decreased by 6.1% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Chipboard production volume decreased by 9.5%, veneer – by 6.1%, parquet – by 19.2%
