Russian plywood export volume within January-September, 2020 increased by 1.8% in comparison with the same period of the previous year

Within January-July, 2020 EU-countries and Great Britain imported 1.25 million m3 hardwood plywood (13.4 % less in comparison with the same period of the previous year). Import from Russia decreased by 13%, China – by 14%, Belarus – by 9%, Ukraine – 10%

Within January-July, 2020 EU-countries and Great Britain imported 847 thousand m3 softwood plywood (24% less in comparison with the same period of the previous year). Import from Russia and Brazil decreased by 25%, China – by 45%

Russian plywood export volume within January-August, 2020 increased by 0.2% in comparison with the same period of the previous year

In July, 2020 plywood import volume in Japan decreased by 22% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Malaysia decreased plywood import to Japan by 24%, Indonesia – by 10%

 

Within January-June, 2020 woodworking products export volume from Finland decreased by 18% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Sawn timber and plywood volume decreased by 23%, paper – by 18%

Within January-July, 2020 Russian plywood export volume increased by 1.5% in comparison with the same period of the previous year

Within January-August, 2020 Russian plywood production volume decreased by 7% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Chipboard production decreased by 8%, hardboard – by 12%

Within January-June, 2020 China exported up to 6% less plywood volume in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Export volume to the USA decreased by 26%, to OAE – by 15%, to Japan – by 8%

In April 2020 plywood import volume in Japan decreased by 10% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The main plywood suppliers were Indonesia and Malaysia with around 80% share
