The USA impose from December, 12, 2017 new standards of formaldehyde content in wooden panels. Standards will be mandatory for producers, importers, distributors and wholesalers. It is assumed that  formaldehyde level in plywood will be 0.05 ppm, in chipboard – 0.09 ppm, in MDF – 0.11 ppm.

Dubai WoodShow 2017 will take place on 7 - 9 March, 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Within January, 2017 plywood production in Russia increased by 5.2% in comparison with the same period of the previous year. Chipboard production increased by 16%, hardboard production – by 28.3%

Within 2016 year “Bellesbumprom” (Belarus) significantly increased wooden products production such as hardboard and chipboard, birch/alder plywood, cartoon and packaging, paper, wallpaper

In 2016 export prices for Chinese plywood decreased by 6%. The key markets for Chinese plywood were the USA, the Philippines, United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, Japan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Algeria. On the average prices for Chinese plywood decreased by 2-9%

In 2016 year plywood production in Russia increased by 3% in comparison with 2015 year. Chipboard production in creased by 2.2%, hardboard production– by10.3%

In 2016 timber production in Ukraine increased to 12% in comparison with 2015 year. Plywood production decreased to 5%, wood panel production increased by 1.9%, veneer production increased to 26.5%. Parquet production increased to 21.1%, wooden window and door production decreased to 15.9%

Woodworking machinery for plywood, wooden panels, furniture production in Italy in 2016 year increased by 11.5% in comparison with 2015 year. Export of woodworking equipment increased by 31.6%.

Within January-October, 2016 plywood export from Russia increased by 12.5%. Export to near-abroad countries showed 1% decrease, to far-abroad – 14% increase

Within January-October, 2016 “Bellesbumprom” increased export of wooden products from Belarus up to 5.6%. The most revenue showed plywood (24.9 million USD), hardboard (16.4 million USD), paper (11/9 million USD), furniture (11/8 million USD).
