At the end of August, 2014 representatives of ten big companies specializing in plywood imports met in Bremen, Germany with customs office management. The reason was the problem of plywood type classification for the goods imported from China.

Within January-May, 2014 Russian plywood export increased up to 20.6% in comparison with the same period of the previous year and amounted to 859.6 thousand m3 (to near-abroad countries – 106.6 thousand m3, to far-abroad – 753 thousand m3)

Within January-March, 2014 plywood import in Great Britain increased up to 17.6% and accounted for 347 thousand m3. At the same time China – the main plywood supplier of Great Britain – significantly decreased sales by March.
